      OptiPDF는 사용자가 업로드한 PDF 파일을 외부 서버로 전송하지 않습니다.
      모든 압축·워터마크 처리는 전적으로 사용자의 웹 브라우저(기기) 내에서만 이루어지며,
      파일 자체가 인터넷을 통해 외부로 나가는 일은 없습니다.
    

OptiPDF(이하 "서비스")는 「개인정보 보호법」(PIPA)을 비롯한 관련 법령을 준수하며, 이용자의 개인정보를 소중히 보호하기 위해 본 개인정보처리방침을 마련하여 운영합니다.

1. 파일의 처리 방식

본 서비스의 PDF 압축 및 워터마크 기능은 100% 클라이언트 사이드(이용자 브라우저 내부)에서 동작합니다. 이용자가 선택한 PDF 파일은 서버로 업로드되거나 저장되지 않으며, 처리 과정에서 발생한 데이터는 브라우저 메모리에만 일시적으로 존재하다가 페이지를 닫거나 새로고침하면 사라집니다. 운영자는 이용자의 PDF 파일 내용에 접근할 수 없습니다.

2. 수집하는 개인정보 항목

본 서비스는 회원가입 절차가 없으며, 이름·이메일·전화번호 등 개인을 식별할 수 있는 정보를 직접 수집하지 않습니다. 다만 아래의 정보가 제한적으로 처리될 수 있습니다.

로컬 저장 데이터(localStorage): 이용자의 편의를 위해 압축 기록 (파일명, 원본/결과 용량, 처리 일시 등)이 이용자 브라우저의 로컬 저장소에 암호화되어 저장될 수 있습니다. 이 데이터는 이용자 기기에만 보관되며 외부로 전송되지 않고, 이용자가 브라우저 데이터를 삭제하면 함께 제거됩니다.
광고 관련 정보: 본 서비스는 Google AdSense 광고를 게재하며, 이 과정에서 쿠키 등을 통해 일부 정보가 수집될 수 있습니다(아래 4항 참조).

3. 개인정보의 보유 및 이용 기간

운영자는 이용자의 개인정보를 직접 보관하지 않습니다. 로컬 저장소에 저장된 압축 기록은 이용자의 기기에만 존재하며, 이용자가 직접 삭제하거나 브라우저 캐시/데이터를 지우면 즉시 파기됩니다.

4. 광고 및 쿠키 (Google AdSense)

본 서비스는 제3자 광고 사업자인 Google을 통해 광고를 게재할 수 있습니다. Google을 포함한 제3자 광고 사업자는 쿠키를 사용하여 이용자의 본 사이트 및 다른 사이트 방문 기록을 바탕으로 맞춤형 광고를 제공할 수 있습니다.

Google이 광고 쿠키를 사용함으로써, Google과 그 파트너는 이용자의 방문 정보를 바탕으로 광고를 게재할 수 있습니다.
이용자는 Google 광고 설정에서 맞춤 광고를 비활성화할 수 있습니다.

5. 개인정보의 제3자 제공

운영자는 이용자의 PDF 파일이나 개인정보를 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다. 광고 게재와 관련하여 Google이 쿠키 기반 정보를 처리하는 경우, 이는 Google의 개인정보처리방침에 따릅니다.

6. 이용자의 권리

이용자는 언제든지 브라우저 설정을 통해 쿠키 저장을 거부하거나 삭제할 수 있으며, 로컬 저장소에 저장된 압축 기록을 직접 삭제할 수 있습니다. 쿠키를 거부하더라도 PDF 압축 기능 이용에는 제한이 없습니다.

7. 개인정보처리방침의 변경

본 방침은 법령·서비스 변경에 따라 수정될 수 있으며, 변경 시 본 페이지를 통해 공지합니다.

OptiPDF (the "Service") complies with applicable data protection laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of Korea, and has established this Privacy Policy to protect users' personal information.

1. How Files Are Processed

The PDF compression and watermark features run 100% client-side, inside your browser. Files you select are never uploaded to or stored on a server. Any data generated during processing exists only temporarily in browser memory and is discarded when you close or reload the page. The operator cannot access the contents of your PDF files.

2. Information We Collect

The Service has no sign-up process and does not directly collect personally identifiable information such as name, email, or phone number. The following limited information may be processed:

Local storage data: For your convenience, a compression history (file name, original/result size, timestamp) may be stored, encrypted, in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted externally, and is removed when you clear your browser data.
Advertising data: The Service displays Google AdSense ads, and some information may be collected via cookies in this process (see Section 4).

3. Retention Period

The operator does not retain your personal information. Compression history in local storage exists only on your device and is destroyed immediately when you delete it or clear your browser cache/data.

4. Advertising and Cookies (Google AdSense)

The Service may display ads through Google, a third-party vendor. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits.

5. Third-Party Disclosure

The operator does not provide your PDF files or personal information to third parties. Where Google processes cookie-based information for advertising, it is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

6. Your Rights

You may refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings and delete the compression history stored in local storage. Refusing cookies does not limit your use of the PDF compression features.
